About Christine Johansson

Christine is a licensed clinical social worker and draws from over twenty years of experience, providing down-to-earth, compassionate counseling and education for adults, couples, and groups. Her workshops have proved especially popular for schools and valuable to community groups.

Christine believes therapy should be solution-oriented. It should provide a safe place to explore negative beliefs and attitudes that may be keeping people stuck. Christine teaches how this insight can be applied to make tangible, positive life changes.

This cognitive behavioral approach “changing your thoughts can change your life” helps clients build on their existing strengths while they navigate major life transitions, change addictive patterns, increase self-esteem, and improve relationships at home and at work.

The goal of therapy is to find solutions to the initial problem that brought them into counseling, as well as to develop skills they can use to begin approaching problems in a new, more productive and creative way.
